Symposium - Idle

     
Housed in a Victorian building which was formerly a General Grocers and Wine Merchants, ‘Symposium' was for many years a well known wine bar/restaurant in Idle village

The Symposium premises were acquired by Market Town Taverns in early 2001 and Symposium Ale & Wine Bar opened in its present format in the Spring of that year.

Symposium offers a warm, intimate ambience both in the bar area and the rear ‘snug'. From the snug an outdoor balcony area can be accessed offering al fresco drinking and dining when the weather permits.

Symposium is very much at the heart of the local community, used as a meeting place for many local groups and organisations.
